New Birds of Prey Movie Poster Is Targeted on Your Team, Not Harley Quinn

Warner Bros. has released a fresh Birds of Prey (As well as also the Fantabulous Emancipation of 1 Harley Quinn) poster which places more focus on the Birds of Prey team, and perhaps not simply Harley Quinn. Margot Robbie’s twist since Harley was easily the most widely loved part from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad when it started in 2016, and WB was moving to capitalize on her popularity from the time. At various times, there’ve been many as four Harley-related DCEU projects in evolution in once over the last few years, including Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2, Birds of Prey, and also a Harley Quinn/Joker movie.
Of these, only Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad 2 (aka. James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad) has discharge dates in this juncture. Cathy Yan is directing the former and will hit theaters with Robbie leading a cast that includes Jurnee Smollett Bell because Mary Elisabeth Winstead and the Black Canary since Huntress. A fresh Birds of Prey trailer is expected to premiere in CCXP later this week, but a brand new one sheet for the picture has dropped in front of then.

(Decision )Some fans have expressed concern about Harley’s dominance of this Birds of Prey promotion so much, with rational reason; the name Birds of Prey suggests it has a team-up film, rather than Harley Quinn solo picture featuring some extra DC characters. Perhaps in an effort to address this dilemma, the newest poster puts Harley at the foreground, yet does a better job of emphasizing Huntress and Black Canary compared to the OneSheets until it’s\. Similarly, Rosie Perez as Gotham City cop Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain (the young girl that the Birds, Harley, along with Montoya protect in the film) are featured equally alongside the trio here. Harley might still be the primary attraction, but this artwork nevertheless does much better job of which makes Birds of Prey seem like an ensemble adventure compared to ones previously possess.
It remains to be observed if that holds true for the actual movie, but the odds seem good at this time. Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson (Bumblebee) has described the picture as a continuation of Harley’s narrative, however, says “fell in love” with its different characters, and (by extension) aimed to accomplish all of them justice with her screenplay. Further, the WB has already locked the Birds of Prey throw in to potential sequels and spinoffs, obviously with the aim of bringing most/all of them back down the road, should the movie become a large success. Harley will surely end up dominating many a scene (as colorful personalities such as Harley Quinn often complete ) however, hopefully, the Birds of Prey will receive their fair because in the final film.
